Inspect the unpacked components for damage, completeness, andapplication of applicable Modification Work Orders (MWOs) as follows:a.Damaqe. Check the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. Report any damage on DD Form 6,Packaging Improvement Report. Also note damage on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection and MaintenanceWorksheet, and initiate corrective maintenance procedures in accordance with Section III of this chapter.b.Completeness. Inspect the contents of the shipment against the packing slip to see if any items are missing (SeeAppendix D, Components of End Item). Report any discrepancies noted in accordance with instructions in DA Pam 738-750. The equipment can be placed in service even if accessory or other parts/assemblies that are not affecting properfunctioning, are missing.c.Modifications. Check DA Pam 25-30 to see if there is any MWO applicable to the MCPS components you areunpacking. If an MWO is listed, check to see if it has been applied to the equipment. The MWO number will be shown onthe case/bag near the equipment nomenclature. If a current MWO is listed in DA Pam 2530 but there is no evidence that ithas been applied to the equipment you are unpacking, note discrepancy on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection andMaintenance Worksheet.Section IV. UNIT PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES (PMCS)4-7. GENERAL. PMCS is performed upon receipt and quarterly thereafter. Record all defects found during theperformance of PMCS and, if applicable, the steps taken to correct them, on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection andMaintenance Worksheet. Instructions for reporting/correcting noted deficiencies are contained in DA Pam 738-750.4-8. UNIT PMCS PROCEDURES.Table 4-1 lists the specific PMCS that must be performed by organizationalmaintenance personnel on a quarterly schedule.a.Purpose.
