TM 10-5410-229-13&P2-9. PREPARATION FOR MOVEMENT- Cont’d(a)Choose one side with three leg assemblies (1). Stand outside at the two corners of that side. Unlockthe handles (2) on these two corners. Lift the side of the frame assembly up and swing the legassemblies (1) in towards the center. Place this side of the frame assembly on the ground. Repeatprocedure on other side.(b)Remove tent lines (3) from wooden tent pins (4). Remove tent pins and place in tent pin container.(c)With one person on each corner, lift the roof cap assembly (5) over the corners and the end peakfitting (6).(d)Fold roof cap assembly (5) in half from one end towards the center wall frame assembly (7). Repeatthis step from both ends until roof cap assembly (5) is about 2 feet wide and laying over the peakcenter joint (8) and rafter assemblies (9).(e)Lift the folded roof cap (5) off the center wall frame assembly (7), fold in fourths, and place in fabrictransport bag.(f)Standing at one of the end wall frame assemblies (10), disconnect the left hand (11) and right hand(12) purlins from the center wall frame assembly (7) by pulling the pin at the connector and socketconnection.(g)Disconnect the left hand purlin (13) on the end wall frame assembly (10) by pulling the pin at the plugand socket connection on the peak center joint (8).(h)Loosen the three handles (14) at the end peak fitting (6). Fold the left hand purlin (13), the legassemblies (1), and the rafter assemblies (15) in towards the center. Place in frame transport bag.(i)Repeat steps (f) through (h) for the other end wall frame assembly and place in frame transportbag.2-51
