Apply film of grease to inside surface of
plunger

Inspect anchor (solid) plunger nose
plungers (4),
for burrs.

Mask brake shoe web slot on plunger
slot, and
nose with masking tape to protect
plunger nose
seal.

Carefully push the double lip seal
onto the plunger, stretching the outer
seal lip over the plunger nose end, until
the inner seal lip is completely in the
second plunger groove and the outer seal
lip is in the first plunger groove.
b.
Remove masking tape.

Plunger bore
Coat all plunger bores with grease.

CAUTION
Both anchor (solid) plungers must be installed
in left side plunger assembly; one of the top,
and one on the bottom.

Anchor (solid)
Coat entire anchor (solid) plunger (4)
plunger (4) and
with grease, packing cavity behind seal.

Plunger key-way
Insert plunger (4) and plunger seal (3)
slot and guide
into hosing with plunger key-way slot
guide screw hole
aligned with guide screw hole.

Plunger bore
Ensure the plunger goes all the way into
and bosses
the plunger bore and seats on
bosses at the bottom.
CAUTION
Driver must be centered over seal retainer to
prevent damage to seal assembly.
