systems outside TIPI via communication links with the exception of TEREC communications, which are receive only.
Voice communication and data links to and from the II Segment originate and terminate at the A-Shelter in all cases
except the AN/TYQ-12(V)4, in which case there is only the stand-alone IA-Shelter. The external voice communication and
data links provided are as follows
a.
A nonsecure voice link (field telephone) via a set of four terminals on the shelter exterior connector panel marked
VOICE 1.
b.
A low-speed secure data link via the four terminals marked TTY.
c.
A high-speed secure data link via the four terminals marked DATA 1.
d.
A high-speed secure data link via the four terminals marked DATA 2.
Table 1-6 lists the terminals and signals that comprise the external links. The terminals listed in table 1-6 are located on a
panel outside the shelter to the left of the main shelter door. Figure 1-5 shows the location of terminals on the panel.
Figure 1-6 shows the TEREC connector panel, located outside the A- or IA-Shelter near the emergency door.

Power (120 V/208 V, 60 Hz) is provided to the II Segment and distributed by a distribution box to the air
conditioner groups and through frequency converters to the II Segment shelters.
