The evaluation and analysis of the TEREC display is supportedby computer-controlled search and measurement programs within the automatic data processing equipment. Shelterpersonnel prepare and transmit target reports utilizing the keyboard and indicator and standard report formats stored onthe disk memory. These reports are transmitted to the supervisor where they are reviewed and sent out by secure digitaldata link or transferred to hard copy.1-18.TEREC-configured shelters provide the following equipment:a.UHF/HF receivers, control units, and antenna systems for UHF/HF downlink capability with TEREC-equippedaircraft.b.Secure devices for decryption of TEREC UHF transmissions.c.Display and keyboard for man-machine interface and report editing.1-19.EQUIPMENT INTERFACE. An Imagery Interpretation (II) Segment is designed to function as part of a TacticalInformation Processing and Interpretation (TIPI) System. Figure 1-4 shows how the II Segment interfaces with othersegments of TIPI and systems other than TIPI.1-20.Reconnaissance film is processed by the WS-430B film processing system and forwarded to the II Segment forinterpretation. The II Segment receives direction from the Display Control/Storage Retrieval (DC/SR) segment andprovides reconnaissance reports to the Tasking Organization via voice communication, secure data links, and courier.TEREC-configured shelters receive encrypted UHF and nonsecure HF radio transmissions from TEREC-equipped aircraftthat are processed through TEREC equipments and forwarded in the same manner as other reconnaissance reports. TheII Segment can also communicate with.Figure 1-4. Imagery Interpretation Segment InterfaceChange 1 1-9
