Put washer (2) onto pin (18), insert pin (18) through hole on rod latch (4 and
5), and secure with spring pin (1).
Apply conductive compound under mounting surface of handle shaft sleeve (17)
and bearing sleeve nut (16).
Insert handle shaft sleeve (17) into hole from outside of door panel and secure
with bearing sleeve nut (16) from the inside of panel.
Place o-ring (15) on outside handle shaft (8).
Insert door handle shaft (8) through handle shaft sleeve (17).
Insert latch arm (10) onto door handle shaft (8) and secure with spring pin (9).
Place inside handle (7) onto door shaft and secure with spring pin (6).
Align holes on latch rod assemblies (4 and 5) with hole on latch arm (10) and
insert pin (3). Place washer (2) onto the pin (3) and secure with spring pin (1).
Apply a continuous bead of sealer around head of bolts (26) and rivet (27).
Lubricate as required (paragraph 3-1).
e . Repair. Repair of the door latch consists of replacing defective parts.
