To prepare the TEMPER equipmentfor storage, clean and dry the fabric sections and othercomponents as described in paragraph 3–6. Perform operator PMCSas specified in Table 2–3.Pack the fabric and frame assemblies into the tent cover andframe sections cover assembly. Place bags onto a wooden palletand store in a building, shed, or other dry place. Store thelight set in its storage container.SpecialInstructionsforAdministrativeStoraqe.Placement of equipment in administrative storage should be forshort periods of time when a shortage of maintenance resourcesexist. Items should be in mission readiness within 24 hours orwithin the time factors as determined by the directing authority.Appropriate maintenance records will be kept during storage.Before placing equipment in administrative storage, currentmaintenance services and Equipment Serviceability Criteria (ESC)evaluations should be completed, shortcomings and deficienciesshould be corrected, and all Modification Work Orders (MWOs)should be applied.Storage site selection. Inside storage is preferred for itemsselected for administrative storage. If inside storage is notavailable trucks, vans, conex or other containers may be used.4-13. PRESERVATION. If the TEMPER components are to be storedwithout regular PMCS being performed, consult TM 38–230-2 forpreservation requirements.4-14. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT. Prepare the TEMPER for shipmentby packing components into the wooden crate, using the originalpacking material, in which they were received. Strap crates ontowooden pallet.4-11/(4-12 blank)
