Replace missing or deformed grommets. Replace tietape, tent lines, and slips as necessary. Follow the proceduresin FM 10-16 to make these repairs. Turn in fabric assemblies todirect support maintenance to repair/replace buckle assemblies,straps, chape and tears, holes 6 inches or larger, and rippedseams.Apply seam sealer to repaired areas as follows:WARNINGSeam sealer and solvent are extremelyflammable and the fumes toxic. Do not smokeor use seam sealer or solvent near openflame. Use seam sealer and solvent withgoggles and gloves, and indoors withrespirator or in an open, well ventilatedarea away from sources of combustion. Deathor severe injury may result from explosion orfire. Inhalation of fumes may cause toxicsickness.NOTETent may be erected or fabric assembliesmay be removed and laid flat.Do not use a foam brush.
