REPAIR FRAME ASSEMBLY - Contd
(b)
Align teeth of fitting (4,5) crown-to-crown (not nested or engaged).
(c)
Turn handle (1) to completely unlocked position and keep it there.
(d)
Keeping teeth in crown-to-crown position, turn bolt (2) until it bottoms.
(e)
Back off bolt (2) 1/2 turn to allow 1/32" folding clearance.
(f)
Place nut (3) on bolt (2) and tighten without allowing bolt (2) to rotate.
(g)
Check fitting (4,5) for proper assembly as follows:
(1)
Rotate handle (1) to fully unlocked position. At this point there should be 1/32" rotation clearance.
(2)
Rotate handle (1) to fully locked position. At this point handle (1) should be at 90 degrees to purlin (11)
and/or rafter (7).
For rafter assemblies (7), repeat above steps (a) through (g) for second fitting.
(h)
For upper leg assemblies (8), pull ring on detent assembly (9) and insert lower leg assembly (10), lining up
holes. Allow detent to snap back into place.

Remove and Install Detent Assemblies.
