Section I. LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS
3-1.
GENERAL. The MFK equipment has a limited number of moving parts that require lubrication. Perform these
lubrication functions whenever equipment is being prepared for storage or the indicated parts are not moving freely. All
specified lubrication materials are listed in Appendix E.
3-2.
LUBRICATION PROCEDURES. The following lubrication instructions are mandatory.
a.
Hinges. Lubricate hinges and handles on the heater tank, the storage cabinet, and the oven. Also
lubricate the hinges on the food container with general purpose oil (Item 5, Appendix E).
b.
Work Table. Lubricate linkage of each leg adapter and brace joint with general purpose oil (Item 5,
Appendix E).

GENERAL
a.
Table 3-1 lists common malfunctions that you may find during the operation or maintenance of the
MFK or its components. Perform the tests and inspections and corrective actions in the order listed.
b.
This manual cannot list all malfunctions that may occur nor all tests, inspections, or corrective actions.
If a malfunction is either not listed or is not corrected by listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.
3-4. M2 BURNER UNIT AND TENT. Perform operator's troubleshooting on the M2 burner units in accordance I with
TM 10-7360-204-13&P. Refer to TM 10-8340-224-13 and perform operator troubleshooting for tent.
