Section II. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT
4-1. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIAL. The Unit Maintenance technician should inspect the
equipment before it is used. The technician will make the following checks when the equipment is unpacked:
a.
Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If the equipment has been
damaged in shipment, report the damage on SF 364, Report of Discrepancy.
b.
Check the equipment against the packing list to see if the shipment is complete. Report all
discrepancies in accordance with DA Pam 738-750.
c.
Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.
d.
Service damaged equipment, as necessary, using Unit Maintenance procedures in Section
III of this chapter to restore equipment to operable condition.
