Mapboard Assembly. Four mapboard assemblies are provided with the MCPS. The major components of the
mapboard assembly are illustrated in Figure 1-4.
Each mapboard assembly (1) consists of a rollable overlay (2) and a rigid overlay (3), fastened to a plywood panel (4) by
means of locator assemblies (5). Complexers (6) on the back of the panel (4) allow mapboard assemblies to be joined
together. A channel (7) at the bottom of the mapboard assembly (1) holds pens or markers.
