TM 10-5410-229-13&P1-12.OPERATION OF THE MCPS - Cont’d.c.LiqhtSet,TypeII. The light set is filtered and screenedfor electro-magnetic interference reduction. The luminaires are totally enclosed and waterproof with an integral thermalcircuit breaker that prevents damage to the ballast due to overheating. The light set will operate on 110 Volt AC, 50/60Hertz. The luminaires are suspended from the purlins with straps. The lights will operate in a series (up to 12) even if onelight fails. A polycarbonate filter that slides over the luminaire and reduces light intensity during blackout conditions isprovided with each light set. The filter also aids in rapid night vision adaptation when exiting during darkness. The filtercan be rotated to aim a strip of unfiltered light onto mapboards or other desired areas. A spare fuse is located in thefemale cable assembly end cap of each luminaire, and a spare lamp and fuseholder are located in the storage container.d.MapboardAssembly. Two or more of the four mapboards furnished with the MCPS can be joined together byaligning the complexers of one or more mapboard assemblies and snapping them together.1-14
