Step 1. Check for electrical overload and shorts in circuit by testing the electrical system using a multimeter or
other checking device (para 11-2).
Correct shorts then reset the circuit breaker by pushing the reset button on the control panel. If
circuit breaker will not stay set correctly, replace the circuit breaker as follows:
a. Removal
(1) Tag and disconnect all electrical leads.
(2) Remove all mounting hardware.
(3) Remove the defective circuit breaker.
b. Installation
(1) Replace the circuit breaker to its original position., (2) Install all mounting hardware.
(3) Correct all electrical leads and remove tags.
