Section III. MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
3-5. GENERAL
All maintenance of the screens can be performed at the operator/organization
level. Generally, no repairs will be required on the Support System. Broken items
are to be replaced.
3-6. SUPPORT POLE MAINTENANCE
a.
Any bright spots on the aluminum poles will possibly negate the
camouflage effort. The condition of the paint on the aluminum poles
should be checked and scratched and chipped areas should be spot
painted. If this is necessary, wire brush the area, wash with warm water
and soap and dry thoroughly. Do not over-stress poles.
Enamel paint is flammable and toxic to the skin, eyes and
respiratory tract. Eye and skin protection required. Avoid
repeated or prolonged contact. Good general ventilation
is normally adequate.
