Avoid skin and eye contactand breathing of vapors. Use protective goggles and gloves.CAUTIONPaint strippers can contaminate panel core,Do not use paint strippers to remove paint.NOTEadhesive, and sealers.Ceiling and floor panel compositions are the same as wall panelcomposition. The same method of repair applies to all panels.Bend edges of puncture in below surface of unbroken face sheet. Do not allowbroken edges to contact opposite face sheet.Remove loose fragments of foam and dust.Clean and dry area surrounding puncture usingWipe off solvent.Inject adhesive into puncture and fill.clean cloth soaked with solvent.Apply a bead of adhesive approximately 1/4 inch wide over cuts in face sheet.Do not smooth out.Plan application of tape. Length and width, number of strips, overlaps, andmethod of application will affect sealing capability of repair. Each piece of tapeshall extend approximately 1-1/2 inches beyond adhesive. Tape must be appliedto bare clean metal. If width of damaged area exceeds width of tape, overlaptape strips at least 1/2 inch. If three or more strips of tape are required, applycenter strip first.Stretch tape and apply lightly. Do not apply with rolling motion from end toend or side to side and do not rub strips into place. Tape strips must tightlyadhere to each other. Rolling, rubbing, and excessive pressure will squeezeadhesive out from under tape.Touch up with paint as required (paragraph 3-9.d).d.Touch-up painting. When required, to prevent rust and corrosion, touch up smallareas of damaged or chipped paint in accordance with TM 43-0139.
