a. Wipe clean machined surface of lift
cylinder rods (56.1) using a clean
rag (Item 25, Appendix F).
b. Inspect rods (56.1) for signs of pit-
ting, corrosion or other damage.
Pay particular attention to cylinder
heads (56.3). Ensure that rod wip-
ers (56.2) are not damaged or dis-
lodged from cylinder heads.
