This appendix lists Components of End Item (COEI) and Basic Issue Items (Bll) for the MFK to helpinventory items required for safe and efficient operation.C-2GENERAL. The Components of End Item List (COEI) is divided into the following sections:a.SectionII.ComponentsofEndItem. This listing is for informational purposes only, and is not authority torequisition replacements. These items are part of the end item, but are removed and separately packaged fortransportation or shipment. As part of the end item, these items must be with the end item whenever it is issued ortransferred between property accounts. Illustrations are furnished to assist you in identifying the items.b.SectionIII.BasicIssueItems. These are the minimum essential items required to place the MFK in operation, tooperate it, and to perform emergency repairs. Although shipped separately packed, Bll must accompany the MFK duringoperation and whenever it is transferred between accountable officers. The accompanying illustrations will assist withhard-to-identify items. This manual is the authority to requisition replacement BII based on Modified Table ofOrganization and Equipment (MTOE) authorization of your MFK.C-3EXPLANATION OF COLUMNS. The following provides an explanation of columns found in the tabular listings:a.Column(1)-IllustrationNumber(IllusNumber). Indicates the illustration number of MFK components andaccessories.b.Column (2) - National Stock Number (NSN). Indicates the NSN assigned to the item and will be used forrequisitioning purposes.c.Column(3)-Description.CAGECandPartNumber. Indicates the Federal item name and, if required, aminimum description to identify and locate the item. The last line for each item indicates the CAGEC (in parenthesis)followed by the part number. If item needed differs for different models of this equipment, the model is shown under the"Usable On" heading in this column.d.Column(4)-UnitofMeasure(U/M). Indicates the measure used in performing the actual operational/maintenance function. This measure is expressed by a two-character alphabetical abbreviation (e.g., ea, in, pr).e.Column(5)-QuantityRequired(QtyRqd). Indicates the quantity of the item authorized to be used with/on theequipment.C-1
