It authorizes the requisitioning, issue, and disposition of spares, repair parts, andspecial tools as indicated by the source, maintenance, and recoverability (SMR) codes.GENERALIn addition to this section, this RPSTL is divided into the following additional sections:a. Repair Parts Sections. These sections contain lists of spares and repair parts authorized by this RPSTL foruse in the performance of maintenance. These sections also include parts which must be removed forreplacement of the authorized parts. Parts lists are composed of functional groups in ascending alphanumericsequence, with the parts in each group listed in ascending figure and item number sequence. Hardware is listedwith the components used. Bulk materials are listed by item name in FIG. BULK at the end of the sections. Repairparts kits are listed separately in their own functional group and section. Repair parts for reparable special toolsare also listed in a separate section. Items listed are shown on the associated illustrations.b. Special Tools List Sections. Sections containing lists of special tools, special TMDE, and special supportequipment authorized by this RPSTL (as indicated by Basis of Issue (BOI) information in the DESCRIPTION ANDUSABLE ON CODE (UOC) column).
