INTRODUCTIOND-1.SCOPE.This appendix lists end items and basic issue items for the Modular Command Post System to help youinventory items required for safe and efficient operation.D-2.GENERAL. The End Items and Basic Issue Items Lists are divided into the following sections:a. Section II. End Item List. This listing is for informational purposes only, and does not authorize replacements.The End Item list contains items that must be with the system whenever it is issued or transferred betweenproperty accounts. However, these items are removed and separately packaged for transportation or shipment.The end items are illustrated to help identify them.b.Section III. Basic Issue Item List. This listing is the minimum number of items needed to operate and performemergency repairs on the MCPS. Although Basic Issue Items are shipped and packaged separately, they must bewith the MCPS during operation and whenever it is transferred between property accounts. The hard-to identifyitems are illustrated. This manual is your authority to request/requisition replacement Basic Issue Items, based onTOE/MTOE authorization of the end item.D-3.EXPLANATION OF COLUMNS.The following provides an explanation of columns found in the End Item andBasic Issue Item Table Listing: a. Column (1) Illustration Number (Illus Number) Indicates the number of theillustration in which the item is shown.b.Column (2) National Stock Number. Indicates the National stock number assigned to the item. It will be used forrequisitioning purposes.c.Column (3) Description. Indicates the Federal item name and, if required, a minimum description to identify andlocate the item. The last line for each item indicates the Federal Supply Code for Manufacturer (FSCM) inparentheses followed by the part number.D-1
