There is little difference between radar scattering and radar transparent screens. The only
difference between the screens is that the radar scattering screens have stainless steel
filaments (0.1 70 inch long x 8 microns in diameter) impregnated in the garnish material.
Because of their minute size, the filaments cannot be detected. These steel filaments give
the scattering screen ability to scatter radar waves. Refer to illustrations showing the tags
identifying the different radar screen types.

The only visible differences between the screen systems is the pattern colors. Erection,
striking, and repair procedure are the same for all screen systems.
NOTE
Woodland screens should be used in woodland type areas,
desert screens in desert type area, and snow screens in
snow or arctic type area.
