MALFUNCTION

1.
WATER LEAKAGE INTO SHELTER
Step 1. Check weather seal assemblies for damage.
Report discrepancy to organizational maintenance.
Step 2. Check for loose or improperly positioned assemblies.
Position seal assemblies to cover joints in shelter and secure.
2.
CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPPER
Step 1. Check for overload condition and shorts using a multimeter or other checking device (para 11-2).
Reset circuit breaker by pushing reset button on control panel.
Step 2. Check for breaker malfunction using a multimeter and those instructions outlined in paragraph 11-2.
Report discrepancy to organizational maintenance.
3.
NO ELECTRICAL POWER INSIDE SHELTER
Step 1
Check for a tripped circuit breaker and overload condition and shorts using a multimeter or other checking
device (para 11-2).
Reset circuit breaker by pushing reset button on control panel.
Step 2. Check to see if external power source is connected.
Connect external power source.
4.
NO HOT WATER OR COLD WATER INSIDE SHELTER
Step 1. Check for a disconnected water source.
Connect water hoses to water source connection.
Step 2. Check for a tripped water hose heater or water tunnel heater, and check for overload condition and shorts
using a multimeter or other checking device (para 11-2).
Reset circuit breaker by pushing reset button on control panel.
5.
WASTE WATER WILL NOT DRAIN OR DRAINS SLOWLY
Step 1. Check for clogged drain hose or lines.
Clean drain hose and lines.
Step 2. Check for a dirty filter screen in sump.
Remove and clean screen.
Step 3. Check sump pump circuit breaker and water tunnel heater or drain hose heater circuit breaker tripped,
and check for overload condition and shorts (para 11-2).
Reset circuit breaker by pushing reset button on control panel.
Step 4. Check for clogged valve or sump.
Report discrepancy to organizational maintenance.
Step 5. Check for a worn or deteriorated drain hose heater.
Report discrepancy to organizational maintenance.
Section IV. MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
All damage requiring repair or replacement shall be reported to organizational maintenance. Deviations may be
authorized by the commanding officer to meet his operational requirements.
